A life filled with P-U-R-P-O-S-E

Cars, clothes, extravagant vacations, and the house in the Hamptons. Sigh... is this sthe meaning of success?! Is this the indicator that a person has made it? If this is so I don't want to be apart of it.

Now don't get me wrong, these things are nice ACCESSORIES.. bu I don't define these material things as success.. Success in my opinion is living a life filled with purpose. A life filled with giving and empowering the future.. I just want to be the change that I didn't grow up seeing.. A lot of times we chase the material rather than the substance..

The substance being the people who need a voice, need the help, and need the guidance.. My heart bleeds anytime I see people who are broken, lost, and dying. I think about how I COULD HAVE BEEN WHERE THEY ARE,IF IT WASN'T FOR THE LOVE AND GRACE OF GOD I WOULD BE WHERE THEY ARE...It's funny how many people don't acknowledge this truth...

"My definition of success is living out the purpose that God has destined me to live"... . A life under the guidance of Christ.. ALL the other things don't really matter...

  1. I totally agree with you when you say that "My definition of success is living out the purpose that God has destined [you] to live"...

This reminds my of the scripture "Seek ye First the kingdom of God" You are very right Eva... I have come to realize the more you seek God the more you worry about the things that worries him (the broken, lost, and dying). You worry less about the success of this world ("Cars, clothes, extravagant vacations, and the house in the Hamptons.").
