THERE IS NO LIMIT TO GREATNESS

Am I the only one who hate when people place you in a box? It's as if people recognize ONE of your talents and decide to categorize you accordingly. Now don't get me wrong I do understand that categories are everywhere, and there are times where they can be useful. But in regards to gifts categories are counter-productive.

Gifts/talents are so precious,and sensitive. The are like newborn babies that need time, love and attention to grow.There is so much I love and want to do. And I truly see no limit to my greatness. Look at amazing people such as Oprah, Lauren Lake, and P. Diddy. These are some examples of individuals are are multi-talented as seen one present gifting as an opportunity to magnify their other talents.

With that being said, I believe it is important for people to understand the importance of not limiting yourself. The more I get to know myself, the more talents I find. There is indeed no limit to greatness. Don't allow anyone to tell you that the sky is the limit when there are footprints on the moon.

THE BEAUTY OF SUCCESS

Above is the cover of Essence's Magazine December issue. WHAT A GREAT JOB! This cover symbolizes so much more to me then the beauty of women. It symbolizes generations of black successful women . How often do you see this in society? Not very often. This issue's cover is also dawning light on "For Colored Girls," which is Tyler Perry's latest film. The film itself t shows the internal and external struggles of black women. I loved it! But, back to this issue, it indeed almost moved me to tears, because for once in a long time I saw the black woman being praised rather than taunted. THANK YOU ESSENCE..FOR CONTINUING TO BE A MAGAZINE THAT CELEBRATES US AND OUR HARD WORK!

MY PRESENCE IS A PRESENT

Sounds conceited right? I know, but is it wrong to believe in your own brand? Is it wrong to LOVE yourself. NO!! If you don't believe in you who will? CONFIDENCE STARTS WITH YOU FIRST! If you don't master it now.. it will bite you in the behind later..

LET YOU BEAUTY SHINE, LET YOU INTELLECT SHINE, LET YOUR BRAND POP! There is no shame in loving and B-E-L-I-E-V-I-N-G in who you are! I mean YOU ARE THE FUTURE, YOU ARE GREAT.. So with that being said YOUR PRESENCE IS A PRESENT!..CLAIM IT, LIVE IT, AND LOVE IT!

One of on my favorite bible verses of all time is Proverbs 18:21 "Death and life are in the power of the tongue." A lot of times we don't realize the power of our words. DEATH AND LIFE literally come from your tongue. Think about it God "spoke" this world into existence. Meaning you have the power to speak life or death in any situation,and trial you face.So next time you feel like tearing someone with your words, or speaking down to yourself..REALIZE YOUR POWER

A life filled with P-U-R-P-O-S-E

Cars, clothes, extravagant vacations, and the house in the Hamptons. Sigh... is this sthe meaning of success?! Is this the indicator that a person has made it? If this is so I don't want to be apart of it.

Now don't get me wrong, these things are nice ACCESSORIES.. bu I don't define these material things as success.. Success in my opinion is living a life filled with purpose. A life filled with giving and empowering the future.. I just want to be the change that I didn't grow up seeing.. A lot of times we chase the material rather than the substance..

The substance being the people who need a voice, need the help, and need the guidance.. My heart bleeds anytime I see people who are broken, lost, and dying. I think about how I COULD HAVE BEEN WHERE THEY ARE,IF IT WASN'T FOR THE LOVE AND GRACE OF GOD I WOULD BE WHERE THEY ARE...It's funny how many people don't acknowledge this truth...

"My definition of success is living out the purpose that God has destined me to live"... . A life under the guidance of Christ.. ALL the other things don't really matter...
